KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Following a successful weekend of special screenings across Tennessee, Regal is taking its celebration of Dolly Parton and her legacy nationwide. Screenings of Steel Magnolias and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas will take place at more than 200 Regal theatres across 35 states and Washington, D.C., from Sept. 4-9, with 100% of the proceeds going to The Dollywood Foundation, home of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Steel Magnolias will screen Sept. 4, 6, and 8, while The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas will screen Sept. 5, 7, and 9. In a nod to Parton’s iconic hit “9 to 5,” tickets are specially priced at $9.25 and are available now at participating Regal theatres.

The nationwide screenings will take place in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia, as well as Washington, D.C.

Founded by Parton in 1995 in her native Sevier County, Tennessee, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides free books each month to children from birth to age five, regardless of family income. Regal has long supported the Imagination Library through the Regal Foundation and is grateful for the continued opportunity to contribute to Parton’s legacy. Today, the program has grown internationally, with one in six children under age five in the United States receiving a free book each month through the Imagination Library.
