Live Well Chiropractic recently completed a community donation drive collecting food and pet supplies for Abby’s Angels Animal Haven and Food Bedford Outreach, also known as the Bedford Food Pantry. The collection period closed on July 31, with contributions gathered from patients and local residents.
Staff coordinated the effort by setting up a designated drop-off area inside the office. A chalkboard sign marked the location with the message “Donate Here,” noted that donations were accepted until Friday, July 31, and displayed logos for Abby’s Angels Animal Haven and Food Bedford Outreach along with a thank-you for community support. Plastic bins and cardboard boxes held the incoming items, which included large bags of dry dog food, pet treats, toys, pasta, egg noodles, boxed meals, and other non-perishable goods. Once the collection closed, the materials were sorted, labeled according to the intended recipients, and prepared for transfer to the two organizations.
Abby’s Angels Animal Haven, a local foster-based animal rescue, and Food Bedford Outreach (the Bedford Food Pantry) both received the donations. Representatives associated with the organizations expressed appreciation for the contributions, noting that the support helped address needs in the community for both people and animals.
Dr. Kris Arnold founded Live Well Chiropractic in 2000 after graduating from Parker College of Chiropractic. Born and raised in Bedford County on a family farm, he established the practice in the area. The office has operated for more than 25 years and has served over 1,000 patients. The team includes Dr. Jason Stephens, Pediatric and Family Health Director (New York Chiropractic College, 2006), Dr. Randy Tabita, Wellness Director (Life University, 2007), and additional clinical and support staff.
The donation drive continued a pattern of community involvement by the practice. Earlier efforts have included food collection partnerships and other local support activities. This drive focused on both human food needs and animal care supplies, reflecting the dual purpose of the two recipient organizations.

After the closing date, the collected materials were consolidated and directed to the appropriate organizations so that both the animal rescue and the food pantry received the intended items.
