JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) will launch today daily nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and both Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), bringing new travel options to customers in the Midwest as the airline continues to expand its Fort Lauderdale network.

The inaugural flights bring JetBlue to Indianapolis for the first time and mark the airline’s return to Columbus. With the new service, travelers in Indiana and Ohio gain a new nonstop option to South Florida and service beyond to destinations across the Caribbean and Latin America, while Fort Lauderdale customers have more choices for travel to the Midwest.

“Today’s launches are another important step in building a Fort Lauderdale network that gives customers more places to go and more reasons to choose JetBlue,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, revenue, network and enterprise planning, JetBlue. “We’re excited to introduce JetBlue to Indianapolis and welcome Columbus back to our network, while giving customers more opportunities to experience the service, comfort and value JetBlue is known for.”

Giving More Choice from Fort Lauderdale

Indianapolis and Columbus join a growing list of destinations JetBlue has added from Fort Lauderdale this year, further strengthening connections between South Florida and cities across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. Building on a year of expanded service and increased frequencies, JetBlue expects to operate more than 150 daily departures to 61 nonstop destinations this winter, marking its largest-ever schedule at FLL and providing customers with more opportunities to connect throughout its broader network.

The continued investment in Fort Lauderdale supports JetBlue’s JetForward strategy, particularly its focus on building the best East Coast leisure network. By growing in key markets and improving connectivity across its network, JetBlue is offering customers more convenient travel options while strengthening its competitive position in South Florida.
