Defense Access supports approved defensive security work as the Brooklyn firm continues its managed IT and cybersecurity practice.
BROOKLYN, NY, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The NetSys Group, a Brooklyn IT services firm founded in 1998, is participating in Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program with Defense Access, an access tier designed for qualifying professionals conducting defensive cybersecurity work.
The participation places NetSys within a program intended to give defenders access to advanced artificial intelligence capabilities under defined cybersecurity safeguards. For the firm, which provides managed cybersecurity services and IT support, the announcement connects its engineering practice with developments in how AI can support security analysis.
According to Anthropic, Defense Access supports activities including incident response, malware analysis, and the analysis and validation of vulnerabilities. The company expanded its Cyber Verification Program in October 2026 to provide different access levels according to the nature of an organization’s security work.
The scope matters. Anthropic’s published terms cover an organization’s own code, products and infrastructure; using CVP access in services involving customer systems requires separate approval. NetSys’s announcement concerns its participation with Defense Access. It does not announce an Anthropic certification, endorsement or authorization to conduct offensive testing.
For business owners evaluating cybersecurity providers, the practical questions remain familiar: which accounts can reach sensitive information, whether suspicious activity will be noticed, and how quickly essential systems can be restored. AI can assist analysis, but findings still require technical judgment and an understanding of how the business operates.
NetSys’s existing cybersecurity risk assessment services examine agreed areas such as Microsoft 365 access, devices, internet exposure and backup recovery. The deliverables include findings ranked by risk, an executive summary and a remediation plan, giving leadership a basis for deciding what to address first.
The company also provides ongoing security management, including monitoring, identity protection, endpoint security and recovery planning. Businesses with internal IT staff can engage NetSys through a co-managed arrangement, with responsibilities defined between the company and the client’s team.
Its managed services run on month-to-month agreements, with a named account manager and responsibilities documented in the service scope. The help desk is staffed seven days a week, from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time. Emergency service and monitoring for managed clients are available around the clock, according to NetSys.
NetSys operates from Brooklyn, with engineers providing on-site service across New York City, Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, North Jersey and Fairfield County, Connecticut. Remote managed IT services are available nationwide.
Organizations considering a cybersecurity assessment can request a conversation with a NetSys engineer to discuss their systems, current concerns and the scope of a potential engagement. A defined assessment can establish priorities before a business commits to broader remediation or ongoing management.
