Native connector brings SORBA.ai AI/ML to the FrameworX UNS, creating a seamless two-way connection between operational data and advanced analytics.
JACKSONVILLE, FL, UNITED STATES, September 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SORBA.ai and Tatsoft today announced a technical partnership and native integration between the SORBA.ai Industrial AI platform and Tatsoft FrameworX, enabling industrial organizations to apply advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning directly to operational data within the FrameworX Unified Namespace (UNS).
The new SORBA AI Analytics Connector for FrameworX establishes a native, bi-directional connection between FrameworX and SORBA.ai over MQTT. SORBA appears directly within FrameworX as a native tag provider over MQTT, so there is no custom middleware or additional integration layer to build.
The integration creates a direct operational workflow:
FrameworX → SORBA.ai
FrameworX publishes the industrial data model and structure to SORBA.ai, streams live tag values in real time, and provides historical data on demand for model training and analysis. Historical information can be sourced from the historian infrastructure the customer already uses, including Canary, InfluxDB, SQL-based systems, and other supported data sources.
SORBA.ai → FrameworX
SORBA.ai processes the operational data using its industrial AI and machine learning capabilities and writes predictions, calculated values, diagnostics, forecasts, and optimization outputs directly back into the FrameworX Unified Namespace as native tags.
Those results are immediately available to FrameworX applications and can be incorporated into operator displays, dashboards, scripts, alarms, workflows, and other operational logic.
From Industrial Data to Operational AI
The integration enables FrameworX users to apply SORBA.ai capabilities including:
• Regression and classification
• Clustering and pattern recognition
• Anomaly detection and predictive analytics
• Time-series forecasting
• Virtual sensors
• Digital twins
• Predictive maintenance
• Process optimization and advanced process control
Rather than creating a separate analytics environment disconnected from plant operations, the connector allows AI and ML results to become part of the same operational namespace used by the industrial application.
“This integration is exactly how we believe industrial AI should be deployed, connected directly to the operational architecture instead of creating another data silo,” said Bryan Thyken, Chief Revenue Officer of SORBA.ai. “FrameworX provides the operational data structure and context, while SORBA.ai provides the AI and machine learning layer. The connector creates a direct, bi-directional path between the two, allowing customers to train models using existing historical data, run analytics against live plant data, and immediately return the results to the systems where operators and engineers already work.”
The architecture also allows organizations to leverage existing historian investments rather than requiring operational data to be duplicated into a new analytics repository solely for AI model development. FrameworX can provide historical data to SORBA.ai as required for training while continuously streaming current operational values for inference.
“FrameworX was built around an open Unified Namespace and native connectivity, so a new capability is created as an extension of the UNS rather than bolted on,” said Marc Taccolini, Founder and CEO of Tatsoft. “That is what makes the integration with SORBA.ai straightforward: its data model and UserTypes are automatically added to the Unified Namespace, side by side with the other tags and assets of the solution. All Modules, Scripts, Displays, Alarms and MCP tools have access to it using the standard configuration tools.”
A Unified Industrial AI Architecture
Together, SORBA.ai and Tatsoft are providing industrial organizations with a streamlined architecture:
Industrial Assets & Data Sources → FrameworX Unified Namespace → SORBA.ai AI/ML → FrameworX Unified Namespace → Operations
The result is a closed information loop in which operational data can be collected and contextualized, analyzed by SORBA.ai, and returned to FrameworX as actionable intelligence without requiring operators to leave their existing environment.
The SORBA AI Analytics Connector is documented as part of the Tatsoft FrameworX connector ecosystem.
About Tatsoft
Tatsoft develops FrameworX, an industrial software platform for building SCADA, HMI, IIoT and real-time operational applications. FrameworX combines a native ISA-95 Unified Namespace with Knowledge Graph Ontology and over 100 industrial connectors, visualization, a built-in historian, alarms, and C#, VB.NET and Python 3 running natively in the runtime. It is AI-Native by architecture: MCP servers for the Designer, the Console, the Runtime and file access, plus an in-process AI agent spine, all released and supported today. The team behind it created the InduSoft HMI product (now AVEVA Edge) and has built industrial software for more than thirty years.
